United Water together with Hankore Environment Tech Group have signed a cooperation agreement with the San Men Xia Industrial Zone Management Committee for the investment, construction and operation of a 150,000 metric tons per day water supply project. The total project investment is estimated at RMB 360 million and will proceed in phases in step with the water demand of the Industrial Zone, the first phase is for 50,000 metric tons.
The agreement was signed on 16 December 2011 in Beijing by the Municipal Government of San Men Xia during the “Introduction to San Men Xia” conference. The project is an important element of the San Men Xia Industrial Zone and will guarantee water supply to and enable the economic development of the zone.
The San Men Xia Industrial Zone has a total area of 100 km2 with 31.7 km2 planned for development and is located at the juncture of Henan, Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces, 10 km from the city of San Men Xia. San Men Xia is famous for gold mining, aluminum production and its energy efficient lighting industry.
United Water’s investment is based on the development potential of the area which is located in the “Yellow River Golden Triangle”. United Water will contribute not only capital but also professional management and customer service to meet the specific requirements of the project.
