On 10 August 2013 United Water’s Suqian Geng Che waste water treatment BOT project commenced commercial operation.  The project has a total planned capacity to treat 49,000 metric tons of water per day to the 1A discharge standard, the first phase being 35,000 metric tons per day with an investment of RMB 70 million. 

 

The plant uses the hydrolysis acidification + A / O process and utilizes advanced imported equipment.  The Project commenced construction in August 2012 and after nine months of hard work was completed at the end of May 2013 with commercial operating commencing in August 2013.

 

United Water’s team has been involved in Suqian City since 2004 with the successful acquisition and reorganization of the local water supply company.  The combination of the operation of the water supply and Geng Che waste water projects demonstrates that United Water can deliver an integrated model within a single city covering the entire water process from taking raw water through to final discharge back to the environment.
