On 29 April 2014 United Water’s Suqian Chengbei waste water treatment BOT project commenced commercial operation. 

 

The Suqian Chengbei project with a planned treatment capacity of 40,000 metric tons of water per day (the first phase being 15,000 metric tons) is United Water’s second waste water treatment project in Suqian City, Jiangsu province.  Using AA/O treatment technology the plant is designed to meet the national 1A discharge standard.  The total investment for the first phase was RMB 50 million and the plant was constructed from June 2013 to December 2013.  Following the successful completion of commissioning the plant commenced commercial operation on 29 April 2014. 

 

United Water currently also operates the Suqian water supply project which combined with its two Suqian waste water treatment projects (Suqian Gengche and Suqian Shuangzhuang) demonstrate United Water’s ability to deliver an integrated model within a single city covering the entire water process from taking raw water through to its final discharge back to the environment.
